Inspiration
Since most web experiences are , a lot of improperly designed web sites which do not keep visually impaired people in mind make it hard for those people to perceive, interact and contribute to web. This also cause less traffic and reachability. This project has been done with belief that everyone should learn from others experiences and share their own .
What it does
It is a simple static blogging web site template built with keeping proper ui/ux practices in mind so that to increase the accessibility of the idea for the blind people.
How we built it
It is built using plain html, css and JS using vscode and git , github for version control . Some freely available images and design have been used.
Challenges we ran into
I got to know about this hackathon really late so most of the work has been done at the very last minute.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite starting late I somehow manages to submit it within time.
What we learned
The need for this large segment of visually impaired people to read and write on the web is high. There is a great opportunity for people to make their work accessible. I got to learn about version control and web development good practices.
What's next for Csite
There is lot of space for improvisations like adding a backend , making it more interactive, hosting etc. I am planning to work on this after submission too.
