What Inspired Me: I wanted to make a simple platformer game like old jumping games where you avoid spikes and enemies and try to reach a goal.
What I Learned: I learned how game objects work, how collision works, and how a player can move, jump, and lose lives.
How I Built My Project: I built this game using GDevelop. I added a square player, platforms, spikes, enemies, checkpoints, and a portal. I also added a 3 lives system. If the player touches spikes or enemies, they lose a life or restart from the checkpoint. If they reach the portal, they win.
Challenges I Faced: It was a little hard to set checkpoints and make the movement feel smooth. I also had to test many times to fix errors.
What I Learned Overall: I learned basic game making and how small changes affect gameplay.
