CryptoWill

Inspiration:

Gerald Cotten — founder of QuadrigaCX — died in 2019 and $190 million in crypto was permanently locked because only he knew the private keys. That incident made this problem real.

Problem:

Crypto assets are permanently lost when the owner dies or goes inactive — Web3 has no inheritance system.

Solution:

CryptoWill is a smart contract that detects owner inactivity and automatically transfers funds to the beneficiary — no third party needed.

Build with:

Solidity smart contract on Polygon, Hardhat for development, MetaMask for wallet connection, HTML/JS frontend for live demo.
