From the advent of debit/credit cards, the creation of PayPal/Venmo, and now, most recently, the huge boom in cryptocurrency, it is clear that the new trend in the financial world is digitization of money. Not only does this make it more convenient to not carry around cash everywhere, but it is also making our finances much more secure. Cryptocurrencies are one of the most recent explosions in the tech world, and by creating an entirely decentralized system, our transactions with cryptocurrencies are infinitely secure and significantly more efficient than sending money. However, cryptocurrencies are still far from going mainstream, and the simple act of transferring a cryptocurrency to another person today is still needlessly difficult; one would have to create a cryptocurrency wallet on a flash drive, transfer their currencies into their wallet, and then use the currency-specific coding language to transfer to a peer. This is the problem we have solved-with CryptoPay, not only can you effortlessly send cryptocurrencies just from the simple act of scanning someone's QR code on their phone through the CryptoPay app, but CryptoPay makes it possible for people to transfer money to the other side of the world in a few minutes for almost no additional fee at all. It is by far the most efficient and cheapest way to digitally transfer money to someone else, and we hope to see success on the App Store even after we have submitted our project for the Hackathon.
