Inspiration
Cryptomorrow hopes to mitigate the growing inflation faced by so many people who are threatened by run-away inflation.
What it does
Cryptomorrow will be made up of three parts: Part One - An NFT marketplace that will provide a means for artists and creators to tokenize their work or projects (virtual and/or tangible). The marketplace will sell items utilizing both a consignment model as well as a flat fee model. Funds raised from fees collected in the exchange will be used as revenue for the next aspect of the Cryptomorrow ecosystem. Part Two - A gaming platform will be created where players will earn in-game tokens that can be converted once said player has reached an age at which they can legally honor contracts. Underage participants will be required to get a parent or guardian's permission to play age-appropriate games that will prepare them for the coming decentralized economy (See github link for more details). The gaming platform will also provide interest-bearing accounts in which a benefactor may invest for a specific player to inherit or a general fund in which a philanthropist or charity can invest to convert in-game tokens and other items into other cryptocurrencies or fiat. Part Three - A Governance community that will provide direction for the project by voting on various aspects such as ways in which to unlock escrow/general accounts from which participants will convert in-game tokens, which games will be added to the gaming platform, and more.
How we built it
Currently, I am working on some of the games that may be included in the gaming platform. Some of the games are based on my Children's book series "Far Beyond" while others will be created to help educate kids on the security that a decentralized economy offers over a centralized one. In one of the latter types of games mentioned, players will be tasked with solving puzzles to unlock clues that will help them move through the game. In a game such as this, players will be exposed to aspects of crypto mining. Other games will expose players to proof of work proof of stake, private/public keys, and more.
Challenges we ran into
I am learning to code and program, but this is neither the role I wish to play in the development of Cryptomorrow. I am therefore seeking out team members with the skills necessary to take my ideas to fruition. I also realize that I will also need a professional with marketing skills to polish and present the project to potential investors as various aspects of Cryptoomorrow come online.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I learned java because I wanted to create an Android version of the books I have written. I looked for programmers to create this app which I call the Abook and even tried some of the online DIY "Create an online book" websites but found it all lacking. The result of teaching myself java can be found on the Google Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Chris+Ossman I know no one will click on the link, so you can simply use the following search term to check them out (there are free versions that have all of the features of the pay version but only a sampling of chapters: "chris ossman far beyond" for my children's book or "chris ossman solutions" for the grown ups.
What we learned
I've learned that building a team is harder than learning to program, so when I find a good one, I better believe in them as much as I believe in my ideas and treat them accordingly. This is why I will never have employees, only co-owners.
What's next for Cryptomorrow
Build a team, present to investors, secure the financial future(s) of the next generation.
