CryptoFairy

Inspiration

We see and everyone can “feel” the pain when things happen suddenly or you missed the big thing in crypto space. We just couldn’t stop wondering how to be at the right place at the right time. That is why CryptoFairy is born.

What it does

CryptoFairy is a micro-service trigger to alert users when the “things” start happening - volatility of the market and price jumps or drops, the next big crypto, acceptance of cryptocurrencies as liquidity trigger, etc.

How we built it

Microservice infrastructure of our project:

"Twitter Fairy" microservice:
A microservice which connects to Twitter API and finds tweets according to criteria defined by user (for example, keywords, Twitter accounts, hashtags, cashtags), analyzes the tweet sentiment and extracts coins mentioned by name or symbol from the tweet.

Web API with Swagger built using:
.NET 6.0,

Sentiment Analyzer

"Binance Fairy" microservice:
A microservice that gets coin historical data by connecting to Binance API and analyzes it based on previously chosen tweets to conclude their historical relevancy and future impact possibility percent.

API built using:
Golang,
Docker

Fairy (Client):
A user friendly client application, which lets the user choose their own strategy for possibly relevant tweets and see the impact it had previously and possibility of it affecting coin prices in the future.

Frontend built using:
Laravel,
MySQL,
Javascript

App hosting in aws infrastructure.

Challenges we ran into

Not much money at the moment and a lot of sleepless hours.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made extensive market research, validated needs, and above all we managed to build a working prototype with a great brand around it to really make a dent in this space.

Suggestions of efficient strategies based on previously analyzed data.
Additional/upgraded algorithm for Binance Fairy microservice, maybe machine learning for better algorithms.
Adding ability to analyze other social network data like Reddit.
Possibility to trade based on suggestions.
Activate community, build a brand, and scale it globally, so we would become one of the top must-have tools to operate in the crypto space, track trends, make important decisions and eventually trade.
