Inspiration

I created Crypto Simplified: Your First Wallet because I know how intimidating the world of cryptocurrency can be when you're just starting out. As someone completely new to both crypto and development, I found that most resources online were either too technical or too vague. I wanted to build something that explains what a wallet is, why it matters, and how to use one — in a way that anyone can understand.

My inspiration came from real conversations with people who said things like, "I want to learn about crypto, but I don’t even know where to begin." That stuck with me. I realized this was a chance to build an app that helps people get their footing with clarity, not complexity.

What it does

Crypto Simplified is a beginner-friendly, educational web app that teaches users what a crypto wallet is, why they might need one, how to avoid scams, and even lets them explore a real blockchain transaction. It features:

  • A goal-driven intro page (“Why do you want a wallet?”)
  • Clear explanations about what wallets do
  • A security-focused page on avoiding scams — rooted in empowerment, not fear
  • A demo-style walkthrough showing how simple wallets can be
  • A live transaction preview on Algorand’s blockchain
  • A voice assistant using ElevenLabs for accessibility and guidance

How I built it

This was built 100% in Bolt.new, using no-code AI tools to design, write, and structure every page. I used:

  • Bolt.new for all layout and page creation
  • ElevenLabs for generating a friendly, guiding voice assistant
  • Netlify to deploy the final product live
  • Algorand for the blockchain education element
  • OBS Studio and CapCut to create the demo video and sync narration

Since I had no prior experience in coding, my process involved breaking each section down into logical learning steps, refining the tone and flow through AI iteration, and testing everything visually to ensure beginner accessibility.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was starting from scratch. I had never used Bolt.new before, and I didn’t have a technical background. It took time to understand how to prompt the AI to build what I envisioned, and how to think like both a user and a designer at the same time.

I also ran into some platform-specific limits — like AI chat rate limits, badge errors, and media syncing issues. Getting the voice assistant to match my video pacing required a lot of trial and error, especially without a webcam or mic setup at first.

Despite these, I kept pushing forward by staying focused on the end goal: making crypto simple and welcoming.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I’m proud that I finished and submitted a real working app — my first ever. I went from zero experience to launching something I genuinely believe can help people. I also learned how to use multiple platforms (Bolt.new, Netlify, CapCut, Canva, OBS, ElevenLabs) in a matter of days, and wrote every word in the app myself with user clarity in mind.

The voice assistant and real blockchain explorer are features I never imagined I could build without code, but here they are — live and working.

What I learned

I learned how to build a functional, user-focused app using no-code AI tools. I also learned how to simplify technical concepts into plain language, structure content around user goals, and handle everything from deployment to demo recording. Most importantly, I learned that creativity and persistence matter more than technical background.

What's next for Crypto Simplified: Your First Wallet

I plan to expand the app by adding:

  • Interactive wallet simulations for hands-on practice
  • Quizzes to reinforce learning
  • A full onboarding chatbot using advanced voice AI
  • Translations to support multilingual users
  • A "Silly Sh!t" version for meme-style learning and social media virality

Crypto Simplified is just the beginning. My goal is to make blockchain education accessible to the next billion users — one wallet at a time.
