Inspiration
We saw a disconnect between web2 and web3 and most people who have web3 applications had to build one from scratch. For web2, many automations exist like zapier, pipedream, etc but there is no full solution currently for web3.
What it does
The application connects web2 events to web3 actions and web3 events to web2 actions so any process on the blockchain could be fully automated.
How we built it
We made use of feeds like chainlink price feeds, smart contract events and other web2 based triggers to initiate workflows on chainlink, send crypto, and do other web2 based actions.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges like listening for all events on the blockchain, running arbitrary amounts of workflows per second while maintaining uptime and also having access to data on chain because we have to call it almost every second to listen and process events that come from chains of multiple networks.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have processed a couple of workflows, to have realized our aim in a small way today connecting events to actions on both versions of the web.
What we learned
We have learnt that automations are the future and many people will rather resort to having a workflow that handles everything for them than write a backend from scratch.
What's next for Crypto Process
Adding many more triggers and steps, moving from proof of concept to full blown business, doubling up on security and bootsrapping fully.
