Although the cryptocurrency market is not as fast-paced as the stock market, nonetheless it's very dynamic. If an investor could even save a couple of seconds on a correct analysis of a cryptocurrency, that could end up having him successfully make a trade without losing the opportunity like price changing too much which renders the initial analysis obsolete.
What it does
The bot automatically detects cryptocurrency's Intermarket price discrepancies for your cryptocurrency portfolio and accounts for the respective crypto's market sentimental analysis to assess whether to carry an arbitrage trade.
How we built it
We created a mobile app using React Native and Native Base UI for users to easily check their crypto prices. For the backend, we used Python to send and retrieve data using APIs like Bittrex and OKEX. The bot mimics popular arbitrage techniques, which include, but not limited to convergence arbitrage to transfer between markets and simple arbitrage between trading pairs. To analyze media content, we used sentiment analysis to predict the direction the cryptocurrency market will go. Furthermore, we used WebSockets to direct communication between the client and the server to update the state live for trades to further enhance the User Experience.
Challenges we ran into
Since this was our first time using React Native, we ran into many challenges in terms of UI and UX, but at the end of this hackathon, we managed to overcome these challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we overcame these challenges listed previously and the teamwork that we demonstrated over the past 36 hours.
What we learned
We learned how to coordinate with each other as a team, learn native mobile development, and business presentation decks.
What's next for Crypto Investments
We hope to make this app more user-friendly and add other features like Natural Language Processing to analyze more abstract and in-depth text.
