We are building structured products for safe and diversified investment in Cryptocurrencies.

Inspiration

Whenever I talk about crypto with poeple, they want to get their skin in the game, and I try to suggest them some goof fundamental cryptocurrencies to invest. These services can be transformed into structured products to solve this problem everyone have. People want safe yet performing assets, and structured products bring balance to that.

What it does

With Crypto Index, investors get exposure to a diversified portfolio of safe yet profit bearing assets. More such products will be available in future, eg. Top50 cryptocurrencies, Top10 Defi Protocol, Top20 MemeCoins, etc.

How we built it

We have currently using SetProtocol V2, which is a library of smart-contracts that solves the problem of Structured Investments like Index Fund, Managed Funds, Trading Funds, etc. We also plan to bring Balancer Finance to make yield bearing structured products.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have successfully developed the prototype where users can mint Index Fund tokens either by depositing all the component tokens, or by investing based on Net Asset Value. Rebalancing the funds are done using CLI script but will be automated in the future and governed by protocol DAO Analytics Dashboard provides an idea of what data parameters are important and can be extrapolated to provide information to investors.

What we learned

Structured Products are need of the cryptocurrency market for institutional investors and also retail investors. As government restrictions are not preferred by web3 community, yet we need to build guard railed solutions, that can bring best for investotr entering crypto markets.

What's next for Crypto Index

We want to launch the project with 4 -6 Index Fund tokens:

  1. Top 20 cryptocurrencies
  2. Top 50 Altcoins
  3. Top 20 Defi Protocols
  4. Top 10 Metaverse projects
  5. Top 20 memecoins
  6. Community recomendations. and work towards building a community of investors and innovators to bring more structured products with personalised customisations, and also managed funds to bring fund managers activaely manage crypto baskets for investors.
