What inspired us: Cryptocurrency markets often feel abstract and overwhelming. We wanted to create a more intuitive, visually stunning way to explore live crypto data — one that feels more like navigating a universe than reading a chart. Inspired by space exploration and modern data visualization techniques, Crypto Constellation transforms market data into an interactive 3D experience.
What we learned: This project deepened our understanding of real-time data handling, 3D web visualization, and interactive UI design. We also experienced the power of AI-assisted development with Bolt.New, learning how to quickly prototype and deploy complex visual interfaces.
How we built it: We used Bolt.New, an AI code builder, to rapidly develop the core of the project. Leveraging its AI-driven capabilities, we created a modern, responsive, and visually rich web application. The project fetches live cryptocurrency market data and renders it in a beautiful 3D space. We deployed the project seamlessly via Netlify, ensuring global accessibility and performance.
Challenges we faced: Creating a smooth, high-performance 3D experience in the browser while handling real-time data was technically challenging. We also had to balance aesthetics and usability — ensuring the navigation (click, drag, zoom) feels natural, while keeping the interface responsive and lightweight. Additionally, making the hover interactions informative without cluttering the screen required careful design consideration.
