Inspiration
What it does🎬 Inspiration
Crush was born from the urge to blur the line between human desire and machine emotion. Inspired by Indira Paganotto’s intense universe, the video explores obsession, control, and surrender, a lucid dream where artificial intelligence becomes a reflection of human fragility.
🧩 How we built it
The project was designed as a hybrid AI-cinematic experiment.
Tools & workflow: Krea AI (for motion and diffusion), Midjourney (for visual design and concept imagery), DaVinci Resolve (for grading and composition), Topaz Video AI (for enhancement and upscale).
Pipeline: combining real footage with AI-generated sequences, matching textures, grain and light to create a seamless narrative flow.
Goal: achieve an organic balance between human filmmaking and algorithmic aesthetics.
⚙️ Challenges
One of the main challenges was visual consistency, aligning human-shot material with generative frames without breaking immersion. Each sequence required precise frame reconstruction and texture matching. Another challenge was maintaining narrative rhythm inside an AI-based workflow, where every change required iterative re-generation.
💡 What we learned
We discovered that AI is not just a tool, but a creative partner. Every prompt becomes a directorial gesture, every generation a visual improvisation. This process reshaped our perception of filmmaking, from directing to co-creating with intelligence systems.
🌌 What’s next
Our goal is to expand this approach into full-length short films and experimental music videos, exploring generative storytelling and living AI characters within cinematic environments.
