Our project was inspired by the growing problem of food waste and the lack of affordable meals for many people. We noticed that restaurants, events, and households often throw away excess food, while talented home cooks struggle to find a platform to sell their homemade meals. To solve this problem, we built a food-sharing and homemade food marketplace app that allows excess food to be sold at low prices instead of being wasted, while also helping home cooks and small food entrepreneurs reach nearby customers. While building this project, we focused on creating a simple and user-friendly platform with features like food listing, ordering, and seller registration. One of the main challenges we faced was balancing affordability, food quality, and trust between sellers and customers. Through this project, we learned about teamwork, problem-solving, sustainable technology solutions, and the importance of using innovation to reduce food waste and support communities.
