Inspiration

We were inspired to develop a smart home or city idea that felt unique and opening a perspective genrally not thought of or seen before.

What it does

Our crumbpack develops a modern solution to sidewalk salting given heavy snow days; by predicting ahead of time snowfall and spraying salting brine from its reservoirs, we can de-ice the roads and save millions per university.

Challenges we ran into

Our code was definitely not cooperating well with our ESP 32, and our first model shorted leading to a huge rewiring within our hardware model.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our modeling servers work well and we return an accurate model for all universities given. Similarly, our GPS models work and CAD files printed nicely for an interesting model.

What we learned

Don't mess with your board and make sure everything is connected properly.

What's next for Crumbpack

Hopefully, we can find ways to fund this project! A more sleek, finer version is in the making.
