Inspiration

Working working in an agency, we built a platform for user-generated content. Technically it worked really well, but things started going south when people started using it to spread hatred and discuss illegal topics. We we forced to find partners who can help us moderate the content on the platform.

Eventually, we were able to find something, but the contractual-lock-ins and upfront cost was too high.

With Effect Network it's much easier for smaller platforms (and larger platforms soon?) to easily outsource this work without building this capability inhouse.

What it does

It provides an easy to use API for content platforms to use Effect Workforce for content moderation without dealing with underlying blockchain complexities.

How we built it

This was my first blockchain experience. All the blockchain interactions happen on the server side from our account. So the user can simply the APIs and pay us in USD or any currency. This bridges the gap between Web2 and Web3.

Challenges we ran into

Everything was new for me. Effect Network team has done a great job abstracting all the complexities for the developers and the discord community is as awesome as it gets.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Other than being my first blockchain project, this is also my first Hackathon...

Ability to abstract all the web3 complexities and give a web2 api is something I am really happy about. I got to know about the hackathon 4 days before the deadline. So being able to learn everything and build something so quickly as a solo developer was really hard, but I am happy that I able to submit.
