Inspiration

Inspired by the frustration of searching the corners of the internet for relevant, fresh and available data without have to pay a fortune to access a general dataset, and not finding a near good option.

What it does

Gathers and consolidates fresh, specific market feedback and insights for users searching for answers to business critical decisions with a very fast turn around time. Users will also retain ownership right of the datasets they purchase with the option to resell on the DataNFT Marketplace.

How we built it

We built it on a strong front end tech stack using angular.js, Node.js and mysql with a number of social media API connections. The MVP is coded on the Zilliqa Layer 1 blockchain for minting the datasets to NFTs due to passed experience familiarity with the functionality but we do not see any issues migrating the platform to EOS.

Challenges we ran into

Smart contract coding was difficult but we overcame. We will need to work more on cross chain features and functionality but know it is possible and have mapped out initial logic.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our DataNFT concept and being the first to create a DataNFT Marketplace on the blockchain.

What we learned

The importance of the basic features users expect with all Dapps as a starting point before moving into more complex and unique functionality.

What's next for Crowdsnap

We are aiming to raise seed funding in the form of a SAFE note to allow us to improve UI/UX and enhance functionality and workflow features. We also want to begin business development and onboard pilot users for use case purposes and beta testing.
