Inspiration

Currently in India, many citizens are becoming Engineers, Doctors etc. and limiting their chances of opening a start-up. But few who are interested face problems due to lack of favorable platforms and funds. We wanted to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and investors and start a new era for start-ups.

What it does

It is a website which connects the entrepreneurs and investors.

How we built it

We built it with cutting edge technology that allows a fast paced development such as Scikit-learn, NumPy, pandas, Recharts, Material-ui, react-bootstrap, React.js to develop a machine model and web interface.

Challenges we ran into

The tight time frame of 48 hours in which we had to come up with an idea and to develop a mtock-up interface was the main challenge we ran into. we also had to use new libraries such as react-charts in which we had no prior experience with which we overcame using the many tutorials and documentation available online.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we are satisfied with the way out idea was shaped and for the opportunity to practice libraries and tools that are both familiar and new to us. Given the time frame, we were able to build a responsive and fast front-end mock-up for our solution in the business field. This was also the first hackathon for some of our team members, in which we successfully have a submission.

What we learned

This experience allowed us to learn use-cases of react-router and also to use Rechart.js and material-ui in various ways. Not only we practiced libraries that we are familiar with, we also explored prospective technologies that can be used further down the road of this project's development.

What's next for FundStart

Exploring the expansive opportunities of this project, we came across many ideas, such as integrating the website with google's Firebase, to provide a backend database, authentication and deployment platform, and also google analytics to accurately predict the status of startups with given data. we also plan to give a dashboard feed to investors on all potential startups they would like to invest in based on their interests.
