At any minute around many college campuses, there are dozens of transactions at fast food restaurants around the campus. But what about the transactions that don't happen? CrowdDeliver aims at using the power of crowd sourcing to optimize the amount of transactions for these non-delivering restaurants. When someone goes to a fast food restaurant and they use CrowdDeliver, they have the option to accept and pick up an order for another user as well, if that user is close by to their path home.
The more users that use CrowdDeliver, the better it gets. More people who submit an order request will get it fulfilled with this increase in usage. Users don't have to deliver, but are highly incentivized to do so. The more deliveries a user makes, the higher percentage of the delivery fee they will earn.
CrowdDeliver will start with 3 fast food restaurants around Purdue University's campus. Depending on its success, it could be expanded to other chains and other campuses.
