Inspiration

From hajj experience, we knew that 1) every year a lot of people is getting missed.

What it does

Our proposed system aims to fill the gap between the Hajj & the Hajj control room through an application which provides crowd monitoring their movement states during pilgrimage, route advising based on pilgrims health state and allow the pilgrims to help in managing themselves by reporting the other missing hajjs.

How we built it

front-end: html, css, javascript back-end: c#, matlab

Challenges we ran into

1) Monitoring crowd characteristics and statistics using image analysis techniques, artificial intelligence and deep learning. 2) Guide crowds through Hajj using innovative techniques. 3) Scheduling the movement of pilgrims between different regions and making sure to follow scheduling using smart tracking techniques.

What's next for Crowd management system

1) Motivate pilgrims to manage neighboring groups and their affiliates until they become part of the crowd management solution. 2) Realize suspicious movements and prevent terrorist acts during congestion. 3) Simulating crowd movement, planning for evacuation, and forecasting of accidents and hazards. 4) Addressing the real problems associated with the entry of pilgrims to Mecca or the holy places, which impede movement and increase crowds. 5) The location of irregular pilgrims during the control of large crowds without affecting movement. 6) build application with pushing notification with crowded zones to alert pilgrims.
