Health and Cancer treatment(Our Niche Goal PRoject for this hackathon) are expensive and full of roadblocks, there are both human and resources constraint that one faces in the domain. Health research can help lead to the discovery of new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer, which can result in improved patient outcomes and a better quality of life for those affected by the disease. Crowd-aid is a platform that can help aid the funding of cancer research and aid us in the fight against cancer.Now coming to the problem a 26 year old boy faces when he got struck with cancer.Thier families ,they have to go through all the difficulties economically and emotionally. That thing drives us to make this unstoppable project. Disrupting Pharmaceutical monopolies - That's are slogan is.... Now I have a way to explain why we promote this motto. According to research, Since restrictions on drug trials were relaxed in 2005, the industry in India has swollen to the point where today more than 150,000 people are involved in at least 1,600 clinical trials, conducted on behalf of British, American and European firms including AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Merck. There may be more.Now You can predict how many lower class people living in India go through this type of hell. 1st Reason - people died in India while, or after, participating in such trials. Many of those people, often only eligible for the studies because they were ill, might have died anyway. Yet when there are complications, even those resulting in deaths, there is often a failure properly to investigate. 2nd Reason - The conduct of clinical trials in India and other countries has been a controversial issue because these tests often blur the lines between scientific progress, health imperatives, ethical issues, and commercial interests.

What it does

Crowd aid is a crowdsourcing platform that uses the 5ire blockchain technology to serve as a transparent, scalable, and sustainable platform that can help raise funds for major issues such as cancer treatment for the major organizations that can aid individual as well as industrial researchers raise better funds.With the rise of exploitation in clinical trials in developing countries, it's time for a change. Our platform is designed to ensure that all participants in clinical trials are fully informed and provide consent in a secure and transparent manner. This is achieved through the use of smart contracts and decentralized technology, providing an immutable and tamper-proof record of all interactions between participants, researchers and pharmaceutical companies.

Process(So Simple):

  1. Come to our Platform.
  2. Connect Wallet.
  3. Fund the Campaign/Organize a campaign or trial.
  4. Receive the token of love. 5.Recording the transaction as a proof of work.

How we built it

We used the 5ire blockchain technology to build the infrastructure that is particularly focused towards the sustainable goals of the United Nations. We used solidity for creating the smart contract and react for the front end aspects.Using 5ire technology we aim to built it for sustainable development.

Challenges we ran into

It was challenging working with newer technologies we've never worked on before. While building this project, we encountered a few issues and learned so many new things. This was the first time we worked oncomplex project and we are extremely happy that we can put a working project. We used Tailwind CSS to design stuff and make it look better.

The very first challenge was to decide whether to allow anyone to call functions in our solidity code or not. We ended up deciding not to allow anyone else to call functions other than the person who deployed the contract.

We faced some issues in implementing the Connect Wallet button in our app's all components when using React.js.

We also had issues with our Solidity code, we wanted to keep it simple and cost less gas, we spent a lot of time learning about this stuff, and at last, we were able to optimize our contract a little.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how much we're able to build within the limited timeframe.With the rise of exploitation in clinical trials in developing countries, it's time for a change. What we learned

How blockchain can help build better solutions for major health issues that every country is facing such as cancer cure and prevention.We learned about different technologies stack and then this is our second-in person hackathon we still have that confidence to push up and be the best.

What's next for Crowd aid

There are couple of things that has yet to come in Crowd-Aid to be the best in the league(OffCourse)

  1. Token Gating.
  2. Reward Distribution through Airdrop Mechanism.
  3. More Niche areas categorically.
  4. Reaching to masses through sustainable development and gasless transactions.
