Crossetto is inspired by the great classic crossword puzzle but comes with a twist. Instead of solving clues or building words with letters, what if the words were our pieces and we essentially build the crossword.
I find it's a lot of fun moving, flipping, and rearranging pieces to get them to fit together in just the right way. And while it's great fun to simply connect everything together, you can also go deeper and try to find more points by searching for that perfect placement where multiple words connect in multiple points or even form new words.
After recently hearing about Devvit and Games for Reddit I spent some time playing around with making some existing html5 games I had work on the platform. Then the hackathon was announced and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try to make a daily word game built specifically for Reddit.
