Inspiration
Finding a brand partner means answering two questions: is there a cultural connection between the brands, and do their products work together? Category searches often surface competitors, while checking every potential partner’s store by hand takes time.
What it does
CrossCulture uses Qloo to discover culturally related brands, then checks live Shopify listings for product pairs that could make a useful bundle or cross-sell. It explains the cultural evidence, product mechanism, cities those brands overlap for campaign, shows open questions, and turns a recommended pair into an editable proposal. Users can also compare two brands they already have in mind and rate results to guide later searches.
How we built it
A Next.js frontend starts each research run. A Node.js worker uses Qloo recommendations and insights for cultural evidence, Shopify Catalog for current products, and a model with server-side checks to assess each pairing. Supabase stores projects, results, proposals, and private feedback; AWS Lambda runs the API and research worker.
What’s next for CrossCulture
I want to make CrossCulture more reliable and accurate based on user feedback.
