Cross-Communication

We were inspired about cross communication after hearing the struggles of multiple professionals, including a CEO, when trying to communicate with each other through a multitude of platforms. We learned that ideas are often forgotten or misinterpreted between two or more platforms when communicating. Because of this, we strived to find a solution. We focused on making it a seamless transition between both communication platforms to ensure success in collaboration. When tackling this project, we first started by creating both a Discord and Slack bot and creating code that can take messages, store them, and be typed by the bots into the opposite platform. We created this program using Python. Challenges we faced were being unable to send images through the program and getting the Slack bot to work. If we were to turn it into a full app, we would add the ability to communicate and call between more than two apps. Furthermore, we would also add interactive options, such as a whiteboard to further ensure collaboration is a success.
