Inspiration

Cross border Healthcare directive allows patients across the EU to receive emergency and elective health care services at any other member state and apply for reimbursement from their national health care system (NHS). A simple app could enable patients to book with private and public healthcare providers across the EU and avoid long waiting time at their NHS.

What it does

Enables governments to reduce waiting time for patients, enables patients to receive health care services quickly from approved providers and receive reimbursement, enables health care providers optimize their practice and improve the quality.

How I built it

I have never started on it;)

Challenges I ran into

Fundings needs to be approved by the governments; Unified medical records exchange system must be approved; Health care providers must meet quality requirements to be incorporated in the network.

Governments across the EU could solve the lack of healthcare providers and save a lot of money spent on healthcare services such as elective surgery, diagnostics, rehabilitation, and other. Patients across the EU could receive healthcare services with no waiting time. Healthcare providers across the EU could optimize their business and improve their services. The platform would work as a market place and receive incomes from caregivers, travel agencies and medical products providers as a commission.
