Inspiration

Many people in India are unaware of their basic legal rights and often find laws difficult to understand because of complex legal language and scattered information. This inspired us to build Justice Voice, a citizen-focused legal awareness assistant.

What We Built

Justice Voice uses AI to explain Indian laws, rights, legal concepts and procedures in simple Hindi, English and Hinglish. Users can describe a situation in their own words and get easy-to-understand legal awareness information, relevant legal concepts and guidance toward appropriate official resources.

How We Built It

We designed a simple, citizen-friendly interface with multilingual support, quick-access legal topics and an AI-powered question-answer experience. The system is designed around legal knowledge, source awareness and safety-focused responses.

What We Learned

While building Justice Voice, we learned how to combine AI with legal information in a responsible way. We focused on making complex information understandable while avoiding misleading or overconfident legal claims.

Challenges

The biggest challenges were simplifying complex legal language, organizing different areas of Indian law, supporting multiple languages and ensuring that the assistant clearly distinguishes legal awareness from professional legal advice.

Vision

Our vision is to make legal awareness more accessible so that every citizen can better understand their rights and know where to seek appropriate help.
