Inspiration
Crop Saarthi was built to solve one of the biggest problems faced by farmers — lack of instant, reliable, and accessible agricultural guidance. Many farmers struggle with crop diseases, irrigation planning, soil health understanding, and awareness of government schemes. Most existing solutions are either too complex, internet-dependent, or not localized for rural users.
We wanted to create an AI-powered farming companion that is simple, multilingual, voice-enabled, and practical for real-world rural conditions. The goal was to empower farmers with technology that feels easy to use instead of overwhelming.
How We Used MeDo
We built Crop Saarthi entirely using MeDo by structuring clear, iterative conversations. Instead of manually coding every component from scratch, we used MeDo as an intelligent development partner to rapidly prototype, refine, and improve the application.
Our workflow with MeDo included:
- Defining the app architecture and user flow
- Designing modern and farmer-friendly UI/UX
- Building responsive dashboards and navigation
- Creating multilingual and voice-support interfaces
- Integrating AI-based crop disease detection logic
- Structuring offline-friendly functionality
- Adding government scheme and soil-testing integrations
- Improving accessibility for rural users
We continuously refined prompts to make MeDo generate cleaner interfaces, smarter workflows, and production-ready frontend structures.
Best Part Generated by MeDo
The most impressive feature generated with MeDo was the intelligent farmer dashboard combined with the AI crop assistance workflow.
MeDo helped us create:
- A clean and intuitive interface optimized for rural users
- Smart crop disease detection flow with image upload support
- Voice-assisted interaction system for accessibility
- Eco-friendly treatment recommendation sections
- Smart irrigation guidance system
- Offline-first user experience concepts
- Browser location integration for localized farming support
The generated UI looked polished, modern, and scalable while still remaining simple enough for first-time smartphone users.
Problem our Application Solves
Crop Saarthi addresses multiple real-world agricultural challenges in a single platform:
- Early crop disease identification
- Lack of expert farming guidance in rural areas
- Water wastage due to inefficient irrigation
- Poor awareness of government welfare schemes
- Limited digital accessibility for regional language users
- Internet dependency in remote villages
By combining AI, accessibility, and localized support, Crop Saarthi acts as a digital farming companion available anytime.
How We Structured Conversations with MeDo
We used a modular prompt-engineering approach while working with MeDo.
Instead of giving vague instructions, we divided the project into focused modules such as:
- Authentication and onboarding
- Farmer dashboard UI
- Disease detection workflow
- Smart irrigation recommendations
- Voice and multilingual support
- Government schemes section
- Offline mode handling
- Mobile responsiveness and accessibility
For every module, we iteratively improved prompts to achieve:
- Better UI consistency
- Faster workflows
- Simpler navigation
- Cleaner component structure
- More practical user experience
This iterative collaboration with MeDo dramatically accelerated development speed.
Plugins and API Integrations
To extend Crop Saarthi’s functionality, we integrated multiple external systems and APIs.
These included:
- AI image analysis for crop disease detection
- Browser geolocation for localized farming insights
- Government agriculture portals for schemes and soil data
- Voice interaction support
- Weather and irrigation-related data integrations
MeDo helped streamline the integration flow and generate frontend structures capable of handling these APIs efficiently.
Why Crop Saarthi Stands Out
Crop Saarthi is not just another agriculture app. It is designed specifically for real farmers facing real-world constraints.
Key highlights:
- AI-powered farming assistance
- Rural-first design philosophy
- Multilingual and voice-enabled accessibility
- Smart irrigation and eco-friendly guidance
- Offline support capabilities
- Government scheme awareness
- Clean, modern, and scalable UI generated rapidly using MeDo
The project demonstrates how AI-assisted development with MeDo can accelerate impactful innovation for underserved communities.
