Inspiration
Croni is a web application designed to automate you social media marketing. We built it because with today’s technology, there’s no reason to waste time on repetitive tasks — we’d rather help people focus on what’s truly creative and valuable.
What it does
Croni is a smart, fully automated social media assistant designed for freelancers, small teams, and individuals who want to grow online without the hassle of managing it all themselves. Croni listens to live conversations across platforms, detects emerging trends, anticipates engagement spikes, and crafts optimized content for each channel. All you do is approve. Croni executes.
How we built it
This product was developed with the help of Bolt.new, which enabled rapid prototyping and implementation of the visual layer. Our team concentrated on building a backend API, while Bolt simplified the creation and integration of a responsive, fully featured UI.
Croni’s API integrates with multiple external sources — including News API, Reddit API, X (Twitter) API, OpenAI API, and Claude API — to process vast amounts of content. This data is converted into vector embeddings, enabling us to deliver increasingly accurate and personalized content recommendations.
We also train our machine learning model — what we call the Croni Brain — based on each user’s activity, preferences, and engagement (likes, comments, posts, etc.). This allows Croni to continuously improve and refine its suggestions.
It’s not just about sending prompts to generate posts. Behind every post lies a complex, large-scale processing pipeline designed to ensure relevance, performance, and personalization.
Challenges we ran into
One of the most challenging aspects of building Croni was integrating multiple APIs into a single, unified system — especially while enabling real-time social listening across platforms.
Another major effort was designing and training the Croni Brain — defining the right data inputs, learning strategies, and personalization logic. On top of that, we had to carefully manage API rate limits for each connected platform, which required smart queuing, caching, and fallback systems to ensure stability.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud that our small team was able to deliver such a complex project and bring a fully functional beta version to life.
While there’s still a long road ahead, launching on such a tight deadline was a major milestone — and a real achievement for this stage.
What we learned
This was the first hackathon for all of us, and we were a small team — just a designer, a project manager, a senior dev, and two junior devs. Still, we managed to build strong internal structure, adapt to each other’s working styles, and become surprisingly efficient.
For our junior developers, this was a crash course in working on complex tech and their first exposure to building an AI-driven product. It wasn’t easy — but we all grew a lot in the process. We’re proud we made it this far.
What's next for Croni: The Autonomous Social Media AI Assistant
This is just the beginning. We see huge potential in Croni and have ambitious plans for its development. Like any machine learning model, Croni Brain needs data to improve — so our next key milestone is acquiring our first group of active users. With real interactions and usage, the system will learn and become increasingly accurate and personalized.
We’re also working on an inspiration feed, where users can explore content from their favorite accounts across platforms in one place. This feed will help users discover trends, get inspired, and instantly generate AI-powered posts based on what they see.
Looking ahead, we plan to integrate eight more social media platforms to make Croni a powerful, all-in-one SMM solution. We're also developing AI-driven insights and recommendations to help users improve their content and marketing performance even further.
