APOGEE GAMEJAM Submission by Team VAMOS! GAME NAME – Critical Hazard
DISCLAIMER:-THIS IS JUST A DEMO PROJECT A LOT OF THINGS WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE UPCOMING DAYS DEVELOPMENT TIME:- 1 WEEK
PLOT - • The game follows B-weapon 03, a bioweapon engineered in a secret laboratory during wartime. The project aimed to create living weapons stronger and more resilient than human soldiers. • A containment failure causes three experimental bioweapons to awaken and escape their incubation chambers. Two of them immediately become hostile and begin destroying the facility and killing researchers. • Subject 6942, however, retains fragments of human consciousness. Instead of escaping or joining the destruction, the subject decides to hunt down the rogue bioweapons before they can leave the laboratory. • As the player moves deeper into the facility, they solve puzzles, unlock restricted areas, and face increasingly dangerous enemies while attempting to eliminate the rogue bioweapons.
VILLAIN’S LOGIC - BACKGROUND - • The laboratory infrastructure was designed only for human researchers. Security doors, restricted sectors, and combat arenas require keycards and researcher authorization. • Because B-weapon 03 is not recognized by the security system, it cannot move through the facility normally.
JUSTIFICATION OF ACTIONS - • The bioweapon’s physiology requires biomass consumption to regenerate health and increase combat strength. • In order to survive and progress deeper into the laboratory, the player must consume researchers. • Researchers provide two important resources: o Biomass, which restores health and increases power. o Security access, such as keycards needed to unlock restricted areas. • These actions allow the player to bypass security systems and reach the rogue bioweapons.
•
MORAL PARADOX - • B-weapon 03 attempts to stop the other bioweapons before they escape and cause destruction outside the facility. • However, every step toward that objective requires sacrificing the researchers inside the laboratory. • The player is therefore placed in a moral gray area, where preventing a greater disaster requires becoming increasingly monstrous.
CONCLUSION - By the end of the game, the laboratory lies in ruins and the rogue bioweapons are defeated. However, the cost of stopping them is devastating. The player may have prevented something worse from escaping the facility — but in doing so, they ultimately become the most successful monster the laboratory ever created.
ABILITIES - B-Weapon 03 possesses mutated biological abilities designed for combat against other bioweapons.
- PROJECTILE FIREBALL (Light Attack)
o The player launches a biological projectile that damages enemies from a distance.
- SUPERSONIC SHOCKWAVE (Heavy Attack)
o The player releases a powerful sound-based attack that deals heavy damage and can stagger enemies.
CORE GAMEPLAY LOOP - The gameplay follows a repeating progression cycle: Explore the laboratory → Solve puzzles → Hunt researchers → Consume biomass for health and power → Obtain keycards to bypass security → Fight boss bioweapons → Progress deeper into the facility This loop continues until the player reaches and defeats the final rogue bioweapon
