Inspiration

CrisisX was inspired by the idea of turning natural language into fully interactive experiences. Using MeDo, we wanted to explore how simple prompts can evolve into a playable decision-based simulation.

We focused on real-life crisis situations where decisions must be made under pressure, and combined this with an exploratory 3D environment to make the experience more engaging and immersive.

What it does

CrisisX is an AI-powered decision simulator built with MeDo, where players navigate through a 3D space and discover decision points.

Each decision represents a different approach to a crisis scenario. Players must explore the environment, find these options, and make choices within a limited time.

The system evaluates each decision and provides feedback based on risk and outcome, creating a dynamic and interactive simulation experience.

How we built it

We built CrisisX entirely using MeDo by describing the application through natural language prompts and iterating on the generated system.

We structured the experience into scenes, including a corridor exploration system and interactive rooms. MeDo handled the generation of core logic, while we refined interactions, positioning, and gameplay flow through iterative prompting.

We enhanced the experience by adding lighting, interaction feedback, and timing mechanics to improve immersion and usability.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was guiding the AI to generate the exact gameplay behavior we wanted. Since everything is prompt-driven, small changes in wording could lead to very different results.

We also faced challenges in balancing exploration and clarity, ensuring players could find decision points without making the experience too easy.

Additionally, refining visual clarity and interaction feedback required multiple iterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a fully interactive 3D simulation using MeDo without relying on traditional game engines.

We transformed simple prompts into a working exploration and decision system, demonstrating the power of AI-assisted development.

The final experience combines environment exploration, time pressure, and decision-making in a cohesive and engaging way.

What we learned

We learned how powerful prompt engineering is when building applications with MeDo. Clear, structured instructions lead to significantly better results.

We also learned how to iterate quickly, test ideas, and refine gameplay through AI-driven development.

Most importantly, we learned how to translate a concept into a working interactive experience using natural language.

What's next for CrisisX – AI Powered Decision Simulator

Next, we plan to expand CrisisX with more advanced scenarios and dynamic environments generated through MeDo.

We aim to improve the decision system, add more variation, and enhance the overall experience with better visuals and audio.

In the long term, we want to turn CrisisX into a complete simulation platform and prepare it for distribution as a standalone application.
