Provide Clarity, Prevent Confusion, and Proceed Forward

Background

With the United States now at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of cases within each state will inevitably begin to skyrocket. For this reason, different federal organizations, news sources, and community projects have been closely monitoring and updating the outbreak on a day-to-day basis. With the large amount of information being reported by multiple sources, it may be difficult for legislators at the municipal, state, and federal levels to make decisions and establish preventative measures when necessary.

Objective

The essence of our project is to provide a better, dynamic map and trends dashboard for the spread of the virus, as well as the policies enacted for preventative measures. Our goal is to provide clarity and awareness to the ongoing pandemic. Ultimately, we aim to assist states and counties in making decisions for the legislature.

Target Audience

Legislators and public health officials wish to stay engaged with the public during an ongoing pandemic. Amidst the stress of every life, people are now coming upon a new burden to bear. They want a quick and easy way to detect trends for the spread, as well as be informed of what preventative policies are already enacted for their safety.
