Criminal Finder

There are many criminals. We have a site that crowdsources data and displays a map of criminals to keep people safe.

Inspiration

After all these reports of lethal clown sightings, we wanted to create a program that could repot these clowns and help people stay safe. We then decided to expand to all criminals

What it does

It takes in crowdsourced data and then displays the data in a map, showing details of the criminals, letting people stay safe.

How we built it

We used google sites and many google APIs and other google products and java script to build our product.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into includes translating APIs into different languages to allow it to be compatible with out code. Another challenge is faced was finding a map plugin that would refresh. We had to sift rhough several maps before finding the right one.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a working product that is available for public use and is quite legitimate.

What we learned

We learned how to use APIs and we expanded our web-developing skills

What's next for Criminal Finder

We want to create an app for users to keep with them and help them stay safe. We also want to advertise and make this product more widespread.
