What it does

CFRS uses the nationwide CCTV network to help accurately identify criminals by their face!

How I built it

Facial Recognition Mechanism: Using the OpenCV library, facial recognition was implemented by feeding the algorithm pictures of a subjects face until a profile was successfully implemented. This information was sent to a database where it will be held as police records

Challenges I ran into

First idea faced technical issues and could not be completed and had to be scrapped .

What's next for Criminal Facial Recognition System

Wee see CFRS being implemented into the Jamaica Police force and being used as a means of quickly catching criminals within hours of the crime being reported, granted cameras in the area were able to catch a face.
