Inspiration

I live in a relatively safe area and wanted to know the more dangerous areas of very popular and densely populated areas.

What it does

This project shows the crimes in Chicago for the past 23 years and where they happen.

How we built it

I used python and extensions such as pandas and numpy in Juypter Notebook.

Challenges we ran into

The dataset had very few numbers and was very large so any changes to the raw file to a while to set in.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The graphs worked well, and the data analysis is easy to follow.

What we learned

I learned to be more thorough when choosing a dataset and the proper ways to use python methods and extensions.

What's next for Crimes in Chicago

The project could be used for other cities or even larger areas as well.
