Inspiration
Coronavirus is a world wide problem which has plagued all the nations. And, getting people vaccination is a ticket out of this pandemic. Getting full population vaccinated for any jab is a difficult task for any country.
What it does
The Vaccination Tracker application will have below listed function:
- Ability for Govt. to trigger mass vaccination in a phased manner
- Residents ability to seamlessly register for a list of vaccines
- Residents to be issued Vaccinated badge for hassle free travel and gatherings
How we built it
The application was built using pega out of the box functions.
The prototype has one user portal which shall be comprised of following business cases a. Govt staff triggering a vaccination campaign, b. a person record created with attributes such as name, age, occupation etc. c. persons information is utilized in executing eligibility for a selected vaccine
Note: The prototype has no integration, it covers customer life cycle interactions using Pega configurations.
Challenges we ran into
- Integrating with external systems like outbound email notifications, Vaccination centre
- Showing real time data of vaccination center availability
- Limited attributes e.g. age, occupation, postcode etc. have been considered for executing jab eligibility.
- Limited and manufactured dataset was used for testing purpose.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- The vaccine tracker system was built using out of the box pega components in around 16 hrs
- The application implementation uses modular concept and can be extended for all vaccination type

- Learnt about creating multiple child cases as part of parent case

- Integrations with external systems
- Adding required resident data attributes and extending eligibility rules
- Updating static configuration with reference data
- Updating dashboard and report configurations.
