Inspiration

We have seen creators struggle to truly own their digital work, prove authorship, and get rewarded fairly especially inside the tools they use every day. We wanted to change that by embedding blockchain-powered ownership, monetization, and collaboration features directly inside Adobe Express

What it does

Creon is an Adobe Express add-on that helps creators:

  • Connect wallets to verify identity
  • Display NFT-based profile badges
  • Gate premium assets with tokens
  • Receive tips in USDC or native tokens
  • Discover community grants without leaving Adobe Express It bridges creative work and verifiable digital ownership seamlessly

How we built it

  • We used the Adobe Express Add-on SDK to build custom panels and UI.
  • We integrated wallet authentication (MetaMask and Phantom) using JavaScript SDKs.
  • Development was done in Replit and the Adobe Code Playground to quickly prototype and test.

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating wallet providers into the Adobe Add-on context
  • Managing cross-chain logic (Ethereum + Solana) cleanly
  • Keeping the UX simple so creators don’t feel overwhelmed by Web3 complexity
  • Limited time to polish UI and handle edge cases

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We got wallet connect, NFT profile badges, and tipping flows running.
  • We proved token gating can technically work in an Add-on
  • Defined a clear launch plan and vision beyond MVP

What we learned

  • How to extend Adobe Express with external APIs and blockchain logic
  • The importance of clear UX to make Web3 feel invisible but powerful
  • How to validate technical feasibility quickly using live demos and playgrounds
  • That creator tools can become much more powerful when ownership is part of the creative process

What's next for Creon

Next, we are focused on turning our MVP into a polished, production‑ready add‑on. Our plan includes:

  • Completing and testing all core features: wallet connect, NFT profiles, tipping, token‑gated assets, and grant discovery.
  • Running a private beta in September with real creators to gather feedback, catch bugs, and refine UX.
  • Launching publicly by October 30, 2025, with a launch event that brings together Superteam, Adobe Express, and creator communities.
  • Expanding into advanced features: collaborative royalty splits, on‑chain certification (ACC), timestamping for provenance, social token rewards, and decentralized asset storage.
