About the project

CrediWise is a mobile app designed to promote financial literacy and help users make informed financial decisions. It offers practical tools like Budget Tracker, Loan & EMI Calculator, Credit Score Calculator, and Compounding Calculator, along with Fun Quizzes and an AI Financial Advisor to provide personalized guidance. The app simplifies finance while making it engaging and interactive.

Inspiration

Inspired by Capital One’s “Make Credit Simple” challenge, I wanted to create a platform that makes credit awareness and financial planning accessible to users of all ages. Many people struggle with budgeting, understanding credit scores, and managing loans, so CrediWise consolidates these tools in one intuitive app.

Development & Learning

Built with React Native and Expo, the app uses AsyncStorage for persistent data, charts for visualizations, and animated buttons and modals for a smooth user experience. I learned how to: Design interactive mobile UIs Handle nested ScrollViews and keyboard behavior Implement financial formulas like EMI and compounding interest:
