Inspiration

Wallet reputation can help AI applications understand more than a wallet address alone. I built the Creditcoin Reputation MCP Server to make reputation data accessible to compatible AI applications through a standard tool interface.

What it does

The server provides a get_creditcoin_reputation tool. Given an Ethereum-compatible wallet address, it queries the configured Creditcoin reputation registry and returns the verified score, estimated score, total score, reputation tier, and last-updated timestamp.

How I built it

I implemented the project in TypeScript using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Streamable HTTP transport, and ethers.js for blockchain interaction. The server supports MCP session initialization, tool discovery, and tool execution.

Challenges and learning

A key challenge was implementing the MCP request flow and maintaining the session between initialization and subsequent tool calls. Testing the endpoint helped me understand how an MCP client discovers and invokes a tool exposed by a server.

What's next

The next step is to connect the server to compatible AI applications and expand testing against the configured Creditcoin reputation registry.
