Inspiration
I'm an active credit card user. And lately I have started to travel by train a lot, so I decided to get a credit card which can offer me reward points for booking train tickets, so I went on credit card research phase, but the problem is I can't really decide which one to choose. So I deiced to create an app that can help me analyse and provide better recommendation based on my preference on credit card
What it does
It takes users SMS related to transaction history, and create a Q&A for that and generate a personalised portfolio, once user provide a credit card web page URL it will analyse the contents of the web page against user data and try to recommend the user the benefits, potential drawbacks and a compatibility score,
How we built it
I'm from an Android development background so I have created an Android App, to have ease of access and get recommendations.
Challenges we ran into
Bit of a learning curve for using Gemini ai with Android SDK, sometimes get unexpected errors
Accomplishments that we're proud of
To have build a functional App without a back end server by leveraging Gemini API
What we learned
Since our app doesn't have a back end server, and generative AI can act as a back end server for our app, it creates a lots of new possibility and building apps much faster.
What's next for Credit Card Recommendation Application With Generative AI
To enhance the apps features like financial management and giving option to compare credit cards and help user better understand everything about a credit card
