Global Hack Week - Open Source - organized by Major League Hacking was the inspiration to this project.

What it does

Visulization of the credit card frauds on the basis of some metrices:

1. Transaction Currency (EUR, INR, USD)
2. Transaction Source (Online, In-Person)
3. Card Type (American Express, MasterCard, Visa)
4. Transaction Amount

How we built it

Using an open-source data mining tool: Orange (https://orangedatamining.com/)

Challenges we ran into

Picking up the most pertaining matrices was the first important parameter.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It is easier to understand the criterion of credit card fraud, as per the matrices discussed, than looking into the whole bunch of categorical and quantitative data.

How to use Kaggle (https://www.kaggle.com/) for open-source data sets and how to use Orange for data visualization and mining.
