Inspiration - As a cybersecurity major, I wanted to level up my programming skills that will make me understand software engineering and the fields I can still dabble in while a cybersecurity major.
What it does - This takes a document of past transactions over a given time and scans the transaction time, the amount ext. And calculates means, averages and more to count the transaction as fraud or legit. So, this can be for data science, software engineering or cybersecurity because my program can be used to calculate trends or real time fraud.
How we built it - I used google collab to create Jupyter Notebook files (.ipynb).
Challenges we ran into - I ran into my iterations running out and having no experience previous to this year it was a big step to tackle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - I am proud of creating a project that relates to my field and can solve problems.
What we learned - We all start somewhere, getting to this hackathon I see we are all just people some with more experience and a lot just like me who are just starting.
What's next for Credit Card Detection Fraud - I will continue to develop it and solve more problems within banks.
