Inspiration
Many articles on the internet are not credible and many others reference uncredible articles. It's important for people to know how to provide proper information and reference it. We believe that this would be very helpful for people in their education.
What it does
CrediCheck uses AI to find out whether or not sources are credible. Then it gives the website a rating on a scale out of 100 for the user to decide whether or not they want to use it.
How we built it
We used Chrome's chrome extension system along with HTML, Python, and JavaScript to make the extension.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to even start the project because none of us had any prior experience with making a chrome extension, and barely any experience with JavaScript, CSS, and Python.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of even getting the extension to work and creating a website showcasing how to find credible sources.
What we learned
We learned more about how to use CSS, JavaScript, Python, and HTML along with learning all about credibility in sources.
What's next for CrediCheck
We hope to publish this on the chrome web store and therefore allow access to this tool for peoplearound the world.
