Inspiration - We noticed a recurring pain point in the creator and freelancer community — the need for access to premium SaaS tools like Midjourney, ChatGPT Plus, Canva Pro, or Grammarly to complete just one task. Most users either hesitate to pay for a full subscription or resort to risky credential sharing. This sparked the idea for CredFree: a secure, trust-first platform where task seekers and tool owners can collaborate safely — without ever sharing login details.

What it does - CredFree is a secure, real-time task exchange platform that connects two types of users:

Requesters — those who need a specific task done using a premium tool.

Subscribers — those who already have verified access to these Pro tools.

Requesters can post tasks, get bids from verified subscribers, and collaborate through secure task rooms with real-time chat, file sharing, and status updates. Payments are processed via Razorpay and held in escrow, ensuring security for both parties. Subscribers can verify their access to supported tools via OAuth or proof-of-use before fulfilling tasks. The entire workflow — from task creation to payment release — is streamlined, credential-free, and secure.

How we built it - We built CredFree using the following stack:

Frontend: Angular 16+ with Angular Material and SCSS

Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL DB, Auth, Realtime, Storage)

State Management: NgRx for reactive and scalable state handling

Payments: Razorpay integration with webhook support for escrow logic

Hosting: Deployed via Netlify and Entri at credfree.site

We designed modular, lazy-loaded feature modules — including Authentication, Marketplace, Tasks, Chat, and Profile — with robust route guards and RLS policies on Supabase for security. Real-time messaging, file uploads, and tool verification were integrated using Supabase subscriptions and OAuth workflows.

Challenges we ran into - Tool verification complexity: Each tool (e.g., Canva Pro, ChatGPT) has its own verification logic. We had to research and design a flexible, scalable system that supports multiple OAuth and manual methods.

Escrow payment flow: Ensuring smooth and secure integration with Razorpay’s APIs while holding and releasing funds based on task status required careful backend planning.

Supabase + Angular integration: Supabase has limited official support for Angular, so building reactive integrations for auth and realtime features involved custom handling.

Keeping UX clean while showing rich data: Balancing complexity with simplicity in dashboard design was a continuous design iteration process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - Built a full-stack SaaS platform with real-time collaboration, secure authentication, task management, and escrow logic — all within a hackathon timeframe.

Verified over 20+ Pro tools with flexible onboarding logic.

Deployed a fully working MVP with a clean UI, real-time messaging, and end-to-end task lifecycle support.

Created a pitch-perfect use case that solves a genuine, growing market need.

What we learned - Deepened our understanding of Supabase's real-time features, RLS security, and auth limitations.

Learned how to architect escrow payments with Razorpay and create robust integrations with Angular services and backend functions.

Understood the importance of intuitive UX in platforms that rely on multi-role participation.

Realized the real-world need for safe, trustable SaaS task-sharing platforms.

What's next for Credfree - We’re planning to:

Add more Pro tools with tool-specific automated verifications

Integrate a review/rating system for subscribers and requesters

Build a mobile app using Flutter

Expand into enterprise use cases for agencies needing flexible tool-based outsourcing

Explore AI-matching for task-tool-subscriber recommendations
