Inspiration

Capital One's prompt got us to think about how few people actually know how to manage their finances. One specific part of personal finances that we thought seemed to confuse people is credit, due to many factors that come into play that changes how credit behaves. Our solution was to use the combined technology of powerful Generative AI and... Math.

What it does

By inputting data such as purchases, payments and credit card balances, the user can generate a easy-to-use, simple, and concise overview of their handling of credit. The user also receives advice on how to improve, with the AI giving the user an overall score out of 100 to evaluate their performance.

The user can select through handcrafted Personalities, to get greater depth in specific areas you want, as well as, having the option to switch between speed and detail.

How we built it

Using React with JavaScript for the front-end and using Google's AI Studio to provide the API for the Artificial Intelligence, we created a simple, elegant and intuitive UI in which users can input their information to receive personalized AI responses, reviews and advice with information in the form of graphs to supplement the understanding.

Challenges we ran into

The lack of time was a big obstacle that ultimately was a blessing in disguise to prevent scope creep. We also had huge challenges prompt engineering the AI to give safe, reasonable and accurate responses as well as creating genuinely easy and intuitive UI.

What's next for CredEasy

Silicon Valley :)

Jokes aside, we want to get into Credit Utilization and using that as another factor to have a much more detailed understanding of your credit and a much deeper and accurate analysis.
