CreatorStake - Invest in Creators Before They Blow Up

Inspiration

We’ve always admired how investors can buy into companies early and profit as they grow, but what if you could invest in people? Creators, athletes, and everyday dreamers often lack funding in their early stages. Meanwhile, their fans already believe in them. CreatorStake was born from that idea: a platform where _belief becomes investment _, letting individuals turn their own growth and talent into a tradable asset.

What it does

Creator Tokens: Each creator has their own stock that fans can invest tokens in.

Dynamic Valuation: As the creator gains followers and traction, their stock price rises — rewarding early investors.

Watson Investment Advisor: IBM Watson analyzes creator metrics, stock activity, and engagement data to provide AI-driven investment recommendations (e.g., “Strong Buy,” “Hold,” or “High Risk”).

Gemini Sentiment Analysis: Google Gemini evaluates the tone and sentiment of the creator’s recent posts to gauge public mood and authenticity.

Fan Dashboard: Users can track portfolios, view ROI, and analyze creator stocks with AI-powered insights.

In short: CreatorStake is the stock market of human potential, backed by data, AI, and community trust.

How we built it

Frontend: React + Vite + TailwindCSS + ShadCN UI for a modern, clean design.

Backend: Supabase for authentication, real-time data, and storage.

AI Layer: Google Gemini API for summarizing and scoring creators’ online growth potential. IBM WatsonX for investment advice.

ElevenLabs+Search+Scraping

Hosting: Deployed on Vercel for fast CI/CD and scalability.

Version Control: GitHub for collaboration and version tracking.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a realistic and ethical simulation of the “creator economy.” Getting Watson and Gemini to deliver contextually accurate yet distinct insights. Managing API rate limits and latency across multiple services within a single Vite environment. Ensuring that AI-generated insights remain consistent, concise, and relevant for each user. Designing an investment-like dashboard that feels intuitive and social at the same time.

Built and deployed a full-stack web app: link Implemented a dynamic creator dashboard and AI-powered analysis successfully. Delivered an MVP that’s functional, scalable, and visually impressive.

The power of Supabase as a backend alternative to Firebase. How to structure a complex product idea into an achievable, polished MVP under hackathon deadlines. Collaboration, version control, and rapid debugging under time pressure.
