Inspiration
As content creators ourselves, we noticed a massive problem in the creator economy: the speed of trends outpaces human research.
Currently, creators spend hours juggling YouTube Analytics, Google Trends, competitor pages, and spreadsheets just to figure out what video to make next. By the time they spot a trend, it is usually already saturated.
We built Creator OS because we wanted creators to stop guessing what the algorithm wants and start using data to predict it.
What it does
Creator OS is an AI-powered creator intelligence platform that acts like a personal data scientist for content creators.
It aggregates real-time data from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and trend sources to help creators discover opportunities before they become mainstream.
Key Features:
• Global Trend Engine
- Tracks the top-performing short-form videos worldwide
- Calculates content velocity (views gained per hour)
- Identifies emerging trends before saturation
• AI Opportunity Insights
- Evaluates competition versus demand
- Generates Confidence Scores for niche opportunities
- Helps creators identify high-growth content categories
• Competitor Intelligence
- Tracks competing creators
- Analyzes viral content strategies
- Allows creators to study successful channels
- Includes one-click trend-following workflows
• Creator Intelligence Hub
- Discover top creators across different niches
- Analyze growth patterns
- Reverse engineer successful content strategies
- Learn what drives audience engagement
• AI Messaging & Collaboration Center
- Smart replies
- Sponsor outreach generation
- Collaboration proposal generation
- Opportunity detection
How we built it
Frontend: • Next.js (App Router) • React 19 • Tailwind CSS • Recharts
Backend: • Next.js Route Handlers • YouTube Data API • Google Trends API
Artificial Intelligence: • Google Gemini • Groq SDK
Database & Authentication: • Firebase Firestore • Firebase Authentication
Deployment: • Vercel
The platform continuously collects trend data, engagement metrics, and creator intelligence, then feeds that information into AI models to generate actionable recommendations.
Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenges was managing highly dynamic real-time data while preventing hydration mismatches in Next.js.
We also faced issues integrating third-party packages that lacked TypeScript definitions, which caused deployment failures during Vercel builds.
To solve this, we created custom declaration files, implemented fallback handling, and built robust validation systems for missing environment variables.
Another major challenge was prompt engineering. We needed Gemini to return structured analytical outputs instead of generic responses, which required multiple iterations and testing cycles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
• Built a premium SaaS-style dashboard inspired by Linear, Stripe, and Perplexity
• Successfully integrated real-time trend discovery across multiple data sources
• Created direct-link architecture that sends users straight to the original YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels
• Built AI-powered opportunity analysis instead of simple historical reporting
• Developed a creator intelligence system that helps users understand why content becomes successful
What we learned
Through building Creator OS we learned:
• Advanced Next.js architecture • Serverless backend development • Real-time data processing • Prompt engineering • API integrations • Production deployment workflows • AI-assisted analytics generation
We also learned how to transform raw platform data into actionable intelligence that creators can actually use.
What's next for Creator OS
Our vision is to evolve Creator OS from a creator intelligence platform into a fully autonomous content production studio.
Future plans include:
• AI video generation through platforms like Runway and HeyGen • Automated script generation • AI voiceovers • One-click video production • Creator collaboration marketplace • Advanced recommendation systems • Personalized audience intelligence • Automated content publishing workflows
Ultimately, we want creators to go from discovering a trend to publishing a complete video without ever leaving Creator OS.
