Inspiration
I make YouTube videos, and love doing so. However, like most creators, at the beginning of your journey, you are mostly alone. I wanted the AI tool that would support creators by helping them come up with better ideas, titles, scripts, getting brand deals and ad reads. So, I decided to create that tool and that was how CreatorOS was formed.
What it does
CreatorOS takes in all the video titles in a youtube channel, and those of the people who inspire the creator and uses that information to come up with interesting and compelling Youtube ideas. It allows the user to generate as many ideas as they like. If the creator likes the idea, they can create a project. From that project, CreatorOS generates the different sections of the script based on the type of video (personal challenge, vlog etc). If the user likes those sections, it then generates the script for that video based on those sections. CreatorOS also matches brands with creators based on the content of those scripts. If the creator is pre-approved for the brand, it helps generate an ad read for that creator to work with that brand. If they are not pre-approved, it directs them to the appropriate individual in charge of brand deals in that company.
How we built it
I built is using Next.js, and the Gemini api. For the frontend, I used nextui and tailwindcss. I built and tested it locally and deployed it to github.
Challenges we ran into
Parsing the outputs by Gemini was very hard. Also, in the beginning, when working with Gemini, the errors were vague, and I spent time trying to debug it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing the project and seeing it work.
What we learned
I learned to endure, problem-solve and debug esoteric api errors.
