Creator Handoff

Inspiration

I am Carlos Guedes, an artist and founder of 2 LADOS, the creative ecosystem behind DUA. Independent creators spend too much time finding the right file, deciding which version to hand over and locating the statements that explain attribution or permitted use. Work in Portuguese and Creole adds a simple requirement: preserve the creator's words and filenames faithfully.

What it does

Creator Handoff is a newly authored UGREEN AI NAS Skill for scoped project discovery, asset selection and a source-linked Markdown handoff. It keeps file identity, human selection and supplied rights statements distinct. Unknown or conflicting evidence remains explicit for human review.

How I built it

The initial implementation uses SKILL.md and linked Markdown references, developed with the official Uliya Skill Kit 0.7.3-en and its capability catalog. It orchestrates file-agent, document-agent and knowledge-agent through supported UGOS capabilities. The workflow requires authorised project scope, NAS-local processing, exact asset selection, read-only source handling and approval before saving a new report outside the originals.

Current status and learning

The official Uliya static checker passed with zero errors or warnings. This confirms package structure and documented capability references. NAS installation, actual expert calls, local model routing, permission enforcement and save behaviour remain for finalist hardware validation. Building the package highlighted the difference between finding a file and establishing who may use it; metadata alone cannot establish rights.

Finalist validation

Two core tests cover multilingual mixed-media selection and contradictory or unreadable evidence, including withheld save approval and an existing output filename. An empty-folder edge case must return zero results without widening scope. Device testing would compare source integrity before and after.

Background and authorship

2 LADOS won Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship at Portugal's 2026 National Young Entrepreneurs Showcase, and DUA was a national finalist in the START Rise AI Challenge. OpenAI Codex assisted with official catalog inspection, Markdown and proposal drafting, validation and packaging at my instruction. I reviewed and approved the proposal. The submission contains no private DUA code, production data, model weights or third-party executable libraries. UGREEN dependencies and their terms are disclosed in the proposal and Skill references.
