Inspiration

We wanted to make life easier for creators who juggle files, team members, and YouTube uploads across multiple tools. The goal was to build one clean workspace where everything connects smoothly.

What it does

Creator Flow lets creators manage their team, organize Google Drive files, and upload videos to YouTube from a single dashboard. Roles control who can edit, approve, or upload content, keeping the workflow clear and secure.

How we built it

We built the platform using Django for the backend, custom role-based permissions, and Google’s APIs for Drive and YouTube. OAuth handles secure authentication, and the frontend delivers clean dashboards tailored to each user’s role.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating multiple Google APIs with reliable token refresh was tricky. Designing workflows that made sense for each role also required careful planning. Ensuring smooth error handling took more time than expected.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a complete end-to-end workflow: editors submit content, managers approve, and creators can publish instantly. The seamless Drive sync and direct YouTube upload also came together better than we hoped.

What's next for Creator Flow

We plan to add analytics dashboards, multi-platform publishing (TikTok, Instagram, Shorts), automated content checks, and deeper team collaboration tools.

Suggestion For kiro team

Currently Kiro is reading all the files like .env which is shouldn't like Cursor
