Inspiration

Sohan, one of the team members, regularly struggles with creating content for multiple platforms. There is a lot of content overwhelm, and from his discussion with other creators, he discovered that because of this, many creators choose to work only with one platform. Even though they want to work on other platforms, it's too much without a large team.

What it does

We take a request from content creators, details about what type of content they want (e.g., LinkedIn Post, YouTube Video Script). ContentCompass takes that info and uses Gemini to create a search query to use with Tavily, which is used with Tavily Search API to find relevant search results. The websites from the search and crawl the data. Then LLM is used to generate the content.

How we built it

We started with a discussion about the user journey and about the problems and challenges. Then we used ChatGPT o3 to create PRDs. We used StichwithGoogle for early UI ideas. We used python to build the backend and Bolt for the front end. We use Tavily in multiple ways and Gemini is used to write the content for now.

Challenges we ran into

We ran out of time to build some of the use cases promised on the home page and second screen (for example, a brand evaluation report).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Working product demo
  2. Figuring out a sophisticated application of Tavily API
  3. Being able to generate 4 types of contents with one topic.

What we learned

  1. Team is critical, communication is key - not a new learning but validated again.

What's next for Creator Compass

  1. Fulfill the use cases promised
  2. Intgrate analytics
  3. Give agentic features like prediction before uploading, evaluation after uploading
