Inspiration
Content creation fatigue is a massive bottleneck for modern creators. Constantly brainstorming fresh ideas and topics, writing engaging captions, and designing new thumbnails across multiple platforms is overwhelming and can lead to severe burnout and inconsistent posting.
What it does
Creator Assistant is an end-to-end social media automation workflow that gives content creators a practical tool to reclaim valuable time and boost productivity through AI-driven idea generation, copy and thumbnail creation, campaign automation, and channel scheduling.
How we built it
Built with Python and FastAPI to orchestrate the workflow and AI pipelines. We integrated Google Gemini for text generation, caption drafting, and visual direction, along with Flux for automated image generation. We used PostgreSQL to persist and manage scheduled posts, user brand context, and preferences. The frontend for the demo was rapidly prototyped using Gradio and deployed via Cloudflare for fast, reliable API communication and secure user access.
Challenges we ran into
Fine-tuning the AI prompts to ensure tone, style, and brand voice stayed consistent across different content formats. Multimodal API orchestration was also a challenge in coordinating multiple asynchronous calls between text models, image generation models, and database writes without causing bottlenecks or delays in the Gradio UI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully built a system that massively reduces the time from idea to publishing, cutting manual post-preparation time drastically. By combining Gemini, Flux, and PostgreSQL we created a unified API service that generates publish-ready assets (text and visuals) in seconds. I also built a functional Gradio dashboard that onboards a user's brand guidelines and generate weeks' worth of content effortlessly.
What we learned
Incorporating clear business context, audience data and brand guidelines into the model prompt structure is critical for output quality. It is vague prompts that lead to generic social posts. I also gained a deeper insight into how creators can manage content calendars by creating focus content campaigns for flexible, dynamic schedule adjustment over rigid automated posting.
What's next for Creator Assistant
The next steps for the Creator Assistant is going to be Video generation, direct API publishing across the various social media channels X (twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn etc. Also Long form blog post generation and Newsletter integration so that from just one-click the application can automatically generate, bulk schedule and publish. Once we connect the APIs of the social media platform the AI will be able to auto-respond to routine comments and DM while maintaining the authentic brand tone.
